GLM Safety Consulting LLC provides professional Onsite Safety Management for Data Center construction, commissioning, and operational work. My role is to integrate directly with your project leadership team to reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and support production through proactive safety execution.
Whether you need a dedicated safety presence for a single scope or full-project coverage, I operate as an independent, enterprise-aligned partner focused on measurable results.
What You Can Expect Onsite
When engaged onsite, I provide structured daily oversight and coordination designed to support the Client, GC, and all subcontractor partners.
Daily Safety Leadership & Coordination
- Coordinate with Client and GC leadership on daily priorities, announcements, planned impacts, and high-risk activities
- Participate in applicable safety and production meetings to maintain visibility into current and upcoming work scopes
- Communicate expectations clearly across all contractor tiers and trades
Training & Compliance Alignment
I work with leadership to verify that personnel onsite have the required internal and site-specific training for their tasks and equipment, which may include:
- Equipment and task-specific internal safety training
- Fall Protection (authorized user expectations and site requirements)
- LOTO / Control of Hazardous Energy alignment (as applicable to scope)
- Confined Space Entry requirements and rescue considerations
- Hot Work requirements and fire prevention controls
- Any additional client/GC-required training elements tied to the work scope
Pre-Task Planning and Hazard Control
A strong day starts with strong planning. I review and implement Pre-Task Hazard Analysis (PTHA/PTA/JHA) processes that can be completed in paper or digital format, ensuring:
- Tasks are clearly identified
- Hazards and exposures are documented
- Mitigations and controls are established before work begins
- Required signatures are obtained and retained for accountability and audit-readiness
Work Permit Verification
Where permits are required, I verify that crews have current, correct, and approved permits aligned to the scope and location, which may include:
- Hot Work permits
- Confined Space permits
- Energized work coordination (as applicable to site rules)
- Other client/GC work authorization requirements
Daily Toolbox Talks and Stretch & Flex
If required by the Client/GC or project plan, I lead or support:
- Daily toolbox talks tailored to active scopes and emerging risks
- Stretch and flex sessions to support readiness and reduce soft-tissue injury risk
Inspections, Safety Walks, and Field Oversight
Field presence is continuous. I conduct daily safety oversight that includes:
- Daily site safety inspections with pictures and documented observations
- Actionable comments identifying risk level, location, and recommended corrective action
- Safety walks of applicable work areas multiple times per shift
- Follow-up verification to ensure corrective actions are completed and sustained
Meetings and Forward-Looking Planning
To keep safety aligned with schedule and scope, I attend applicable meetings such as:
- Daily coordination meetings
- Safety meetings
- Production / scheduling / look-ahead meetings
- Subcontractor coordination touchpoints
This ensures safety planning stays ahead of the work — not behind it.
Weekly Reporting (If Required)
If requested, I provide a structured weekly report that includes:
- Summary of key safety observations and trends
- Open items and responsible parties
- Corrective action plan with clear next steps
- Progress tracking and closure verification
- Items requiring leadership decisions or escalation
